The USC Keck School of Medicine, Division of Hematology is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to join its team. Under the direction of a supervising physician the Nurse Practitioner will perform therapeutic, preventive and health maintenance services. Will obtain medical histories from patients with blood cancers. Acute Care NP training and/or experience preferred. Nurse Practitioner will work in a fast-paced Academic Hematology setting.
Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, will performs physical examinations and treat common episodic and chronic health care problems, counsel patients and families, monitor patient progress, assist with medical research projects. Works in collaboration with other health care team members, consult and referr as appropriate, but retain responsibility for ongoing clinical management of the patient.
