- Nurse Practitioner - GWU Student Health Center
Description
The Division for Student Affairs cultivates an inclusive community that supports connection, growth, and well-being for every student throughout their GW journey. DSA’s integrated approach is to provide a cohesive student experience built upon the core values of genuine collaboration, a compassionate approach, and, most importantly, putting students at the center of the work. Within DSA, the Student Health Center (SHC), a multidisciplinary, integrated, student healthcare service, serves as the primary healthcare agency for GW students and the entire student community. SHC provides easy access to high-quality care to enable students to return to classes as quickly as possible.
The Student Health Center seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive clinical assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for students within an integrated, holistic model of care.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Medical Services, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the following:
Providing episodic and longitudinal care to GW students in an outpatient setting.
Developing short and long term plans of care.
Providing patient education and counseling related to the full spectrum of health issues.
Participating in Student Health Center committees, health outreach and promotion, public health initiatives, and in greater GW community events.
Support the larger mission and activities of the Division of Student Affairs and the University according to GW values.
Perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
