About this role

SSM Health is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team in Arnold, Missouri. This opportunity offers a flexible way to practice acute care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, with potential cross-training to provide additional Urgent Care coverage
  • Urgent Care: Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a variety of acute and chronic health concerns across the lifespan.
  • Clinical scope: Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe appropriate treatments, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary health care team while utilizing appropriate clinical resources and referrals.
  • Continuity of care: Help patients navigate appropriate transitions and referrals within the broader health care system.
  • Schedule: PRN
  • Shift: Day shift
  • Employment type: Part-time, PRN

  • Additional opportunity: Potential cross-training for additional Urgent Care coverage
  • Graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • Missouri Registered Nurse license or qualifying compact-state Registered Nurse license within six months
  • Missouri Nurse Practitioner licensure
  • Appropriate Nurse Practitioner certification, with Certified Family Nurse Practitioner included among the accepted certifications
  • One year of Nurse Practitioner experience or two years of Registered Nurse experience in an adult acute care setting
