JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides comprehensive patient care by diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses. Responsibilities include prescribing necessary medications and treatments, performing complete physical examinations, and conducting thorough health assessments that incorporate patient history, diagnostic testing, and psychosocial and family evaluations. The role includes promoting family health through routine screenings, managing common acute and chronic conditions, and providing counseling and patient education.
Additional duties include performing minor surgical procedures such as IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies, as well as initiating life-saving interventions in emergency situations. The provider will also coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals and maintain ongoing communication with collaborating physicians or specialists to ensure high-quality, comprehensive patient care across all service sites.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Current BLS certification (required prior to direct patient care)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the womens health field preferred
