Description
Nurse Practitioner
Hill Country Allergy, Asthma and Immunology & Health Atlas MD — Austin, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Open to new graduates and experienced clinicians Reports To: Dr. Amin Mery, MD
About Us
Hill Country Allergy, Asthma and Immunology is a Austin-area allergy and immunology practice providing evidence-based diagnosis and treatment of allergic, asthmatic, and immunologic conditions. Health Atlas MD is our physician-led, cash-pay wellness and inflammation medicine practice, offering integrative protocols spanning peptide therapy, IV/IM nutrient therapy, hormone optimization, and longevity-focused care.
Together, these practices give our clinical team the opportunity to work at the intersection of traditional allergy/immunology medicine and personalized inflammation and wellness medicine — a rare combination that allows for genuinely comprehensive patient care.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in a dual-practice role, splitting clinical time evenly between traditional allergy/immunology care at Hill Country Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and inflammation/wellness medicine at Health Atlas MD. This is an ideal opportunity for a clinician who wants breadth — combining the diagnostic rigor of allergy/immunology with the growing field of integrative inflammation medicine — under direct physician mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Allergy & Immunology (Hill Country Allergy, Asthma and Immunology)
Evaluate and manage patients with allergic rhinitis, asthma, food allergies, drug allergies, urticaria, immunodeficiencies, and related conditions
Perform and interpret allergy skin testing; order and interpret relevant labs and pulmonary function tests
Develop and manage immunotherapy plans (subcutaneous and/or sublingual)
Prescribe and manage medications per collaborative practice agreement/supervising physician protocols
Provide patient education on allergen avoidance, asthma action plans, and disease management
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR
Inflammation & Wellness Medicine (Health Atlas MD)
Conduct comprehensive intake visits assessing chronic inflammation, metabolic, and wellness concerns
Deliver and manage protocols within the Health Atlas care framework, including peptide therapy, IV/IM nutrient therapy, hormone optimization, and related integrative treatments, under physician supervision
Guide patients through staged treatment pathways, translating protocol mechanisms and expected timelines into clear patient education
Support delivery of Health Atlas patient guides and educational materials during visits
Participate in ongoing protocol refinement alongside the physician team
Shared Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Dr. Mery on complex or ambiguous cases across both practices
Uphold a consistent, high-touch patient experience across both brands
Participate in practice growth initiatives, including patient education content and process improvement
Maintain compliance with applicable state scope-of-practice regulations and collaborative agreements
Qualifications
Active Texas NP license (or eligible for licensure), in good standing
Board certification appropriate to licensure (e.g., ANCC/AANP for NPs)
DEA registration or eligibility
New graduates welcome to apply; experienced clinicians also encouraged
Interest in allergy/immunology and/or integrative/inflammation medicine strongly preferred; prior experience a plus but not required
Strong communication skills and comfort educating patients on complex clinical concepts in accessible terms
Comfortable working across two distinct practice models (insurance-based and cash-pay)
What We Offer
Direct mentorship from a double board-certified physician (Allergy & Immunology, Internal Medicine) with fellowship training and advanced integrative medicine certification
Exposure to a genuinely broad clinical scope spanning conventional allergy/immunology and cutting-edge inflammation medicine
A growing, physician-led practice environment with room to shape protocols and patient care pathways
Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
Hill Country Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and Health Atlas MD are equal opportunity employers.
