As an Officer in the Nurse Corps, you’ll provide high-quality nursing care wherever there’s a need, from top-tier medical centers, shipboard facilities, and humanitarian missions overseas. You’ll gain unparallel hands-on experience and funded training across inpatient, outpatient, operational, and academic settings. You’ll work closely with other healthcare providers to carry out job responsibilities such as:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to Sailors, Marines, military family members, retirees, and global communities.
Collaborate with Physicians, Surgeons, Cardiologists and other specialists to create and administer treatment plans.
Train and lead Hospital Corpsmen on how to provide high-quality patient care.
Apply leading-edge medical advances at world-class hospitals
Utilize some of the most advanced technology on the planet, such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), which can lead to less paperwork and more meaningful patient care
Assist with global relief efforts such as providing emergency care to victims of natural disasters
Work Environment
