Our Department of Family Practice is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP, DNP, or PA-C) to join our busy clinic.
The APP will triage, treat, and assess patient primary care needs for wellness care, acute and chronic conditions.
This Providers Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Obtain and record assessment of each patient including but not limited to the patient’s chief complaint, a review of systems, the patient’s past medical history and the patient’s family history.
Treat or make recommendations for follow up care.
Coordinate referral and follow up care by one of the PCI specialists as needed.
Performing and documenting a clinically appropriate physical examination of each patient.
Performing and ordering clinically appropriate procedures for each patient and documenting same.
Analyzing reports and findings of tests and clinical examinations in order to assess the medical condition of each patient, including formulating a diagnosis of the injury or illness and documenting same in conformity with applicable professional standards, third party payor requirements and PCI policies and procedures.
Completing medical record documentation and billing entries in a timely and appropriate fashion

Requirements
Current ARNP, DNP, or PA-C license in the State of Iowa.
Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
PCI is E.O.E. Pre-employment drug screen and background check required. PCI is a tobacco free workplace.
