This full-time outpatient Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner position offers autonomy, flexibility, and the chance to serve as the cornerstone of behavioral health care for a medically underserved population. With a balanced patient mix and strong interdisciplinary collaboration, you'll play a key role in expanding access to mental health services, especially for local youth.
Practice Overview
You'll join a close-knit team including a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and collaborate with primary care and pediatric physicians
100% outpatient behavioral health clinic located on the main campus of a respected community hospital
No call requirement, though rare consults in the ER may occur based on need
You'll be the sole psychiatric provider, offering continuity of care across a broad patient base
Schedule
Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., with flexibility for 4x10s
36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours per week
Average 12-14 patients/day, with a goal of 2 patients/hour
Optional two half-days per week providing on-site behavioral health support at a local school
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $120,000-$140,000, commensurate with experience
Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available
20 PTO days and 10 extended sick days annually, both accruable and rollover eligible

Licensure and DEA costs fully covered
Candidate Requirements
PMHNP-BC certified across the lifespan
Comfortable practicing independently in a rural setting
Experience in both counseling and medication management
Interest in school-based outreach and community mental health initiatives
