Build your emergency medicine career with Emergency Medicine Specialists. EMS is an independent, democratic physician group seeking physician assistants and nurse practitioners to join our team across Wisconsin for full or part-time employment.
EMS staffs 14 emergency departments and 10 urgent care locations throughout the state of Wisconsin. Locations include Milwaukee, Fox Valley, Watertown, and Door County.
Our diverse clinical settings provide exposure to a broad spectrum of conditions and patient populations, with opportunities suited to different practice styles and career goals.

Six-Month APC Mentorship Program
Designed by EMS APCs for clinicians entering emergency medicine, this structured program builds clinical skill and confidence through side-by-side shifts with experienced APCs and physicians, monthly education, guided readings and lectures, physician-led instruction, and simulation-based training.
Leadership & Professional Growth
Your perspective matters. EMS offers APC leadership opportunities through site lead roles, committee participation, and representation at monthly physician board meetings.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program
- Current Wisconsin licensure or eligibility to obtain a Wisconsin license
