Growing Well is an expansive and nurturing network of programs dedicated to fostering the holistic development of youth and families throughout the High Country. As the full-time medical provider for the Growing Well Clinic, you will help fill a critical gap in rural healthcare by providing timely developmental evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and family support for children who may otherwise face barriers to accessing care. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team of therapists, family navigators, social workers, students, and other professionals, you will help connect children and families to the services they need—close to home and within one coordinated, family-centered setting.
This is an opportunity to practice meaningful pediatric medicine with 6–8 clients per day, no on-call responsibilities, no weekends, and holidays off, while also
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct medical care based on Growing Well guidelines and protocols.
Provide leadership for developmental screenings, assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing support for children with or at risk for developmental delays.
Support and guide allied health providers involved in the care of children with developmental needs.
Oversee the high-risk infant follow-up program, ensuring timely developmental monitoring and intervention referrals.
Ensure the use of evidence-based tools for screening and diagnosing autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and other developmental conditions.
Collaborate with therapists, family navigators, students, and social workers to ensure cohesive, family-centered care.
Help families navigate the path from developmental concern to diagnosis and connection with appropriate services and supports.
Work with the Medical Director to maintain clinical protocols and quality standards for developmental services.
Participate in strategic planning to expand and improve program offerings.
Maintain knowledge of evidence-based practices related to Growing Well Clinic protocols.
Provide training and share resources with other professionals and programs as part of a potential statewide expansion of Growing Well.
Lead case conferences.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner or pediatric (PNP or PA) or Neurological Nurse Pracitioner or Physician Assistant.
- License/Certification Required
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina
- Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in developmental pediatrics
