We are seeking a highly skilled locum Nurse Practitioner to provide essential neurological services at Mercy Health St. Ritas in Lima, Ohio, starting July 1, 2026. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for providing inpatient neurology coverage, assisting with stroke response, interpreting radiologic exams, and collaborating with a dedicated medical team. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and support the hospital’s commitment to quality care. Required Skills Valid Nurse Practitioner license with a specialization or experience in neurology or inpatient care Proficiency in radiologic exam interpretation is preferred, but not mandatory Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and efficiently in fast-paced settings Nice to Have Skills Experience in stroke management and trauma settings Familiarity with Epic Carepath EMR system Prior hospital-based neurology experience Preferred Education and Experience Master's or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (MSN or DNP) Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in neurology or inpatient hospital settings Other Requirements Willingness to work PRN hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in a hospital inpatient environment Credentialing timeline approximately 60 days, pending license and background checks Valid state licensure and federal DEA certification as required Willing to accept locum, locum-to-perm, or permanent arrangements Travel and licensure reimbursement when applicable This position offers an hourly pay rate of $14.74, with weekly pay via direct deposit, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage, paid sick leave, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program.
