Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient anesthesia coverage
• Case mix is ortho heavy, with podiatry, eyes, GYN, pain, GI, ENT, and plastics
• Typical patient population is all ages, occasional pediatrics usually over age 8
• On site support includes 2 to 3 anesthesiologists per location
• Charting varies by site, EPIC and paper charting

Schedule

• Weekday shifts only, Monday through Friday
• Choose 8 hour shifts or a 4 day week with 10 hour shifts
• Minimum three month commitment
• No weekend blocks built into the rotation

Cases and Procedures

• Approximately 10 to 60 cases per day per site
• Ortho makes up the majority of volume
• Regionals and nerve blocks available but not required

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
• Active Pennsylvania license required, facility will not wait for license
• Comfort working within a medically directed care team
• Availability to complete credentialing, standard timeframe is 90 to 120 days, often faster if already credentialed with LVHN or Jefferson Health
