Description
Comprehensive Neurointerventional Specialists is seeking a second Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing private neurointerventional practice. This is a varied, intellectually engaging role for a provider who wants to build a lasting career in the neurosciences, with substantial physician mentorship and active participation in clinical research.
About the Practice
We practice at the Beacon Brain & Spine Institute, a beautiful facility attached to Beacon Kalamazoo Hospital, and we run a full clinical practice with a busy outpatient clinic and an active inpatient service. We have been a Comprehensive Stroke Center since 2017 and have been recognized as one of the top stroke centers in Michigan by leading national publications for several consecutive years. As an APP on our team, you would be supported by an established, multidisciplinary group, including:
- Two board-certified neurohospitalists
- A dedicated 8-bed neurocritical care unit
- A dedicated stroke program coordinator, nurse navigator, and data analyst
The Role
Your time would be divided roughly into thirds:
- ~1/3 outpatient clinic
- ~1/3 inpatient rounding
- ~1/3 administrative work and research
You would participate in a variety of clinical studies, primarily involving stroke and aneurysm patients as part of your regular responsibilities.
Support & Team
You would report to our neurointerventional physicians (currently 2 physicians but recruiting a 3rd) and work alongside our current Nurse Practitioner, with both the physicians and NP providing extensive support and hands-on training. This makes the role a strong fit for both an experienced neuroscience APP and a highly motivated new graduate eager to develop expertise in the field.
Qualifications
Current (or imminent) licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Michigan. Neuroscience experience preferred; we will also consider a highly motivated new graduate with a genuine interest in the neurosciences. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Compensation & Benefits
- Highly competitive guaranteed base salary with no productivity-based component.
- No call, no weekends, and no major holidays.
- Excellent benefits package.
- CME fund.
